Substack as publishing CRM and #booktok live Vol. whatever (I think XVI)

you should know that in addition to my book, Eathel the Bastard, I am fascinated by the craft of sales, marketing and operational efficiency. Sounds like LinkedIn right? Yeah, I guess. But I do it to bring audience members to Substack (which I’m essentially using as a kind of publishing CRM w/ a Stripe plugin for billing). And ultimately it’s to spend more time writing.

If you are not into that, Theo, I totally get it. But it’s nice to meet you either way.

Tagging

- see the power of Substack snippets. I pretty much just use Substack for the snippets and trying to get paid.

- Don’t watch all of this (unless you want to). You can skip around. The point is, these are automatically generated and then can be uploaded into what I’m calling a ‘sales flow.’

Sales flow idea:

  1. Live on TikTok

  2. Download recording

  3. Upload to Substack; get the snippets

  4. Post them to social media channels with Buffer
